An award-winning global redesign of the world’s most famous travel guide

Challenge

DK’s iconic Eyewitness Travel Guides needed a full redesign to improve usability, modernise the visual language, and create a consistent system that could be applied across a large global publishing programme.

Solution

A global relaunch focused on clarity and inspiration. As the creative lead, I developed a structured visual system offering hierarchy and flexibility, ensuring consistency across multiple titles while maintaining the brand’s distinctive identity. I led a team of in-house and freelance designers to apply the new visual language across the first phase of its rollout.

Impact

The redesign recieved positive press and industry recognition, including a Wanderlust Reader Travel Award for Top Guidebook Series and the Travel Media Award for Guide of the Year.
